General

Smoking

We are a smoke and vape-free environment. In consideration of other guests and for health reasons, we do not allow smoking on the premises.

Children

Children 16 years of age and older are welcome at Starlight Hill B & B when accompanied by an adult. Please be mindful and respectful of guests that come here to relax. We do not have toys, cribs, etc. for baby/toddlers.

Pets

We do apologize, but no pets of any kind are permitted.

Breakfast

We serve breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. You can indicate the time you prefer during booking in the "Special Requests" section or upon check-in. We will accommodate anyone that has In-Depth or Guided Tours at Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. We cook a full breakfast daily. Items in the hot breakfast may include eggs, french toast/pancakes, hashbrowns, and a protein. We also offer a continental breakfast that will be available all morning and usually consists of a variety of items that can change daily as well. This selection usually includes cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, and juices. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available 24/7.

 

If anyone has food allergies or diet restrictions, please indicate this ("Special Requests" section) at the time of booking. We understand not everyone is a morning/breakfast person; we just ask to please let us know your preference ahead of time.

Check In/Out
  • Check-in times must be pre-arranged and are typically between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

    • Note: the B&B is not always staffed, so communicating your arrival time is very important to us during your travels. 

    • Early and late arrivals (before 4:00 and after 10:00 p.m.) will incur a fee of  $10 per half hour unless prearranged/approved. 

    • 11:00 p.m. is the latest we can check guests in as to not disrupt others in the house. We understand travel plans sometimes go awry so please make us aware of this ASAP  to accommodate getting you checked-in. There will be an additional charge of $25 for check-ins past 11:00 p.m.

  • Check-Out time is by 11:00 a.m.

    • Late check-out may be available if pre-approved. 

Reservations
  • We have a Two Night Minimum policy. There will be a charge of $50 if booking for only one night during the weekend (Friday-Sunday) and $25 if booking for only one night during the week. Please call us to arrange a reservation for one night. 

  • We do offer one night stays during our Off-Peak season (December - April) at no additional cost. Please call us to arrange a reservation for one night stays during the week.

Payment
  • We accept cash, checks, and all major credit or debit cards. We do NOT accept cards that require a PIN. 

  • A credit card is required to hold the room(s). Full payment will be required at the time of check-in. 

  • If making a reservation online, full payment is required at the time of booking. 

  • A 6% Pennsylvania State and 5% Fayette County Hotel  Occupancy Tax apply.

 

The following Cancellation Policy is strictly observed:

 

  • Requests 14 days prior to the arrival check-in date are accepted without penalty. 

  • Requests within 14 days prior to the arrival date will be charged 50%  of the total price to the payment method on file and the room will be released for re-booking. 

  • No shows will be charged the full amount to the payment method on file, but the room will be held open in case you make it. 

  • Cancellations or modifications are not considered confirmed until you receive a confirmation from us via telephone or email.

  • If any add-ons were requested and already purchased by us, you are responsible for 100% of the add-on prices, and you agree that they become the property of the innkeepers.

  • If any add-ons were paid for during an online booking, these add-ons are non-refundable, and you agree that they become the property of the innkeepers.

 

Modifications
  • Adding additional room nights to your stay are permitted without a fee. 

  • All listed room prices are for double occupancy only. Changes to the number of guests in a room are permitted but will incur a $40 fee for an additional person per night.

  • Removing nights are considered a cancellation and will follow the Cancellation Policy for the total price of the removed room nights.
